Whitney Yokum
Whitney Yokum serves as the Director of Bands for Sapulpa Public Schools. Her responsibilities include overseeing the Sapulpa Instrumental Music Program at all levels, directing the High School Wind Ensemble, and teaching the beginning flutes and clarinets. She has a passion for music education and loves spending every day making music with her students.
Mrs. Yokum spent the first four years of her professional teaching career in Pryor, Oklahoma, where she was selected as the District Teacher of the Year for the 2018-19 school year. Whitney went on to receive the “Rising Star” award from the State Department of Education in the fall of 2018. The following year, she was recognized as the Phi Beta Mu “Young Bandmaster of the Year” for the state of Oklahoma. Whitney began the next part of her carrer in Sapulpa, Oklahoma where she has served as the Director of Bands since 2020. She was honored to be selected once again as the Sapulpa Public Schools District Teacher of the Year in 2022. Whitney’s students has consistently earned positions in ther All-District and All-State Honor ensembles, and both junior high and high school ensembles have consistently earned Superior ratings at District and State contests.
Whitney recieved her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Arkansas in 2015. During her time at the UofA, Whitney served as the principal bass clarinetist for numerous ensembles, including the Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, and New Music Ensemble. She also served as the principal bass clarinetist of the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra from 2010-2017. Whitney continuesd to return to the University of Arkansas each year as a conductor for the UofA Summer Music Camp, which she has attended for over ten years. Whitney enjoys serving as a guest clinician and conductor and loves meeting and working with kids from all over.
Whitney Yokum is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Oklahoma Music Education Association, the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association, and the North Central Directors’ Association. She currently resides in Bixy, Oklahoma, where she enjoys spending timme with her husband Jacob, their two dogs, and her extensive plant collection.

Kevin Mozarko
Kevin Mozarko is currently in his eleventh year as the percussion director and Jazz band director at Sapulpa. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Oklahoma State University.
As a performer, Kevin has had the privilege of playing in several respected ensembles, including the Oklahoma State University Percussion Ensemble, Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. Kevin has performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, the International Japan Band Clinic, and the OMEA Convention.
Kevin has served as a Marching Percussion Instructor for several high schools, including Sapulpa High School, Stillwater High School, and has assisted in Perkins-Tryon High School and Centennial High School. He has been a continuous clinician at the Saied’s Sounds of Summer Marching Percussion Camps. He has also served as the Drill Designer and Music Instructor for the Oklahoma State University Winter Drumline.
Kevin Mozarko is a Vic Firth Educator, and is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, Oklahoma Bandmasters Association, Oklahoma Music Educators Association, and the National Association for Music Education.

Jayson Burscough
Jayson Burscough has served as an Assistant Band Director for Sapulpa Public Schools since 2022. He directs the High School Symphonic Band, the 8th grade band, and the 6th grade brass classes, and assits with the 7th grade band as well as the high school marching band.
Jayson started his carrer at O’Banion Middle School in Garland, Texas where he served for two years as the Assistant Band Director, and as the Head Band Director for the next four years.
Jayson graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 2009 and recieved his Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance from the University of Tulsa in 2014. During his time at TU, Mr. Burscough performed with the TU Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and multiple chamber ensembles. During the summers, he was a member of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps and performed with them in 2010 and 2011.
After graduation from TU, Jayson earned his Master of Music in Horn Performance from the University of North Texas. While at UNT, he performed and recorded with the UNT Wind Symphony and the Symphony Orchestra. Jayson also performed with the UNT Opera Orchestra and the Graduate Wind Quintet.
Jayson is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Oklahoma Music Education Association, The Texas Music Educator Association, Phi Mu Alpha, the Pi Kappa Lambda Honor Society of Music, the the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society of Education. He enjoys spending time with his wife Alyssa, and his sons Dean and Max. In his freetime he enjoys creating and consuming delicious BBQ.

Mary Lollis
Mary Lollis is currently in her third year at Sapulpa Public Schools where she teaches band to all ages and all abilities. She previously taught thirteen years in the Tulsa Union Band program as well as two years in Edmond and four years in Jenks Public Schools. Mrs. Lollis taught applies clarinet and woodwind methods at Northeastern State University and while in Chandler, Arizona, taught band at a charter school for grades 4th-12th.
Her playing carrer spans from playing saxophone and clarinet on a Carnival Cruise line ship, The Celebration, to playing in musicals, operas, orchestra, concert bands, and big bands. Locally, she has performed with the Starlight Band, Signature Symphony, Tulsa Light Opera Orchestra, Celebrity Attraction Productions, Tulsa Ballet Orchestra, the Council Oak Trio, and the Tulsa Clarinet Quartet. Mary played 2nd clarinet with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra from 2006-2018 and the Tulsa Opera orchestra from 2001-2018. She continues playing throughout the commuinty whenever her schedule allows.
Mary recieved her Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Masters of Musical Arts in Clarinert Performance from Arizona State University where she studied with Dr. Robert Spring. She has two children, Jack ad Amelia, and lives in Tulsa with her husband Brent where they are currently enjoying their “empty nest” season of life.

Angela Caldwell
Angela Caldwell is currently in her second year as the Sapulpa Bands Secretary. Angela graduated from Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg Missouri. After graduation, Mrs. Caldwell attended Central Missouri State University. She left college early to become a wife and move to Oklahoma.
Angela spent twelve years working with the Tulsa Theatrical Union as a seamstress and dresser. Mrs. Caldwell also sings with the Singing Churchwomen of Oklahoma. She has always had a soft spot for music and children of all ages, and she enjoys being surrounded by the sounds of their music.
